In winter, the low-temperature environment is likely to affect the tightness, thermal conductivity, and operational stability of high-temperature equipment. Combined with the operational characteristics of the equipment and the climatic characteristics of winter, defensive measures must be implemented from five dimensions:
Thermal Insulation enhancement, anti-freezing protection, operational monitoring, maintenance and inspection, and emergency support.
Therefore, special attention should be paid to thermal insulation measures to prevent the low temperature in winter from affecting the safety performance of the equipment. Good thermal insulation plays a stable and protective role in the operation of our equipment.
Equipment with proper thermal insulation can reduce heat loss and improve energy efficiency: it lowers heat dissipation (such as at the outlet pipelines and flanges of equipment), reduces the load on the heating system, and saves energy consumption.
Ensure stable operation of equipment: avoid stress caused by excessive local temperature differences in the equipment body, prevent seals from hardening and aging due to low temperature, and maintain the tightness and structural safety of the equipment.
Prevent freezing and condensation to protect pipelines: for exposed high-temperature pipelines, valves, etc.,
Thermal Insulation Sleeves combined with electric heat tracing can maintain the medium temperature (such as cooling and steam pipelines), preventing medium solidification and pipeline freezing, cracking, and blockage.
Facilitate maintenance and inspection while providing protection: detachable thermal insulation sleeves balance thermal insulation and maintenance convenience. Meanwhile, the outer layer can prevent erosion by rain and snow (such as open-air equipment components) and extend the service life of the insulation layer.
Auxiliary safety protection: reduce the risk of exposed high-temperature surfaces of equipment, lower the hidden danger of personnel scalds. In addition, some thermal insulation sleeves can enhance the moisture-proof and thermal insulation of equipment foundations/supports to avoid freezing and cracking.
